Welcome to
Our objective is to establish a technical and regulatory framework for ensuring transparent, continuously and independently monitored, and fully compliant quality of gabions and gabion structures – from planning and tendering, through the manufacture of the products themselves, to construction, final inspection and acceptance, and warranty.
The instrument for achieving this objective is the RAL Quality Assurance System. It establishes binding principles and requirements governing the design and manufacture of gabion structures, the assurance and monitoring of the quality of gabions and their materials, as well as the continuous development of gabion construction methods.
A continuous exchange of experience and technical information among the members of the Quality Association, ongoing quality assurance, the identification of opportunities for product optimization while maintaining the highest quality standards, and support for companies in developing and establishing quality criteria constitute further key responsibilities of the Quality Association for Gabions E.V.
